About Me

The written word has been my constant companion for as long as I can remember. From childhood afternoons spent hunched over a wooden desk in the basement of my family home, scribbling short stories and poems, to countless hours immersed in the pages of fiction and nonfiction, reading and writing have woven themselves into every stage of my life. I discovered storytelling early, around third grade, and was immediately captivated by the power of words—carefully chosen and arranged—to transport the imagination and illuminate the inner lives of others. Putting thoughts and emotions onto the page became both a joy and a quiet sense of purpose.

As I moved through grade school, high school, and college, my passion for literature only deepened. Assigned reading lists became gateways to new voices, styles, and ideas, from timeless classics to contemporary works, each expanding my understanding of the human experience. Although life eventually led me away from a professional path in journalism or authorship, I never abandoned the craft itself. Writing evolved into a more private pursuit—an outlet for observation, reflection, and creative exploration—free from deadlines and expectations.

Over the decades, reading and writing remained a steady presence in my daily life, whether through quiet moments with a novel, ideas jotted down between responsibilities, or thoughtful conversations sparked by something read. In retirement, I have returned fully to those early passions with renewed focus and enthusiasm. What once began as a personal practice has now become published work. I am the author of two books and am currently putting the final touches on a new novel, with plans for release within the next six months.
